to make one thing clear: downloaded daphne bt files must be verified (through dvd) and your own files work like in all other versions of daphne (no dvd)

daphne 1.0 supports the download of some popular laserdisc games (dl, dl2, space age) via bittorrent. you must own the dvd version of the game to make these files run. the files have a bt ending and as soon as you put in one of the dvds mentioned in the download menu of daphne (in my case dragons lair 2 dvd edition) daphne will verify the dvd and after success it will convert the bt files to m2v, ogg and the framefile. before dvd verification you will not be able to use the downloaded files. after verification you can also use the files with any version before 1.0

But: as brian pointed out already you don't have to download anything through daphne! you can use daphne 1.0 just like 0.99

i did the whole procedure yesterday (having hd versions for dragons lair and space age and the downloaded dragons lair 2 version from daphne). now everything works really great!

btw the hd and blu ray versions are not supported by daphne 1.0 to validate your copy and decrypt the downloaded bt files.

Ok, now I see, I was trying to use the downloaded versions of DL, DL2 and SA. My original versions work fine now. Thanks!

We dont talk about such things here... FYI

;)

What? We don't speak of purchasing legal DVD's for use with Emulation? Isn't that why there is a DVD check built into Daphne? To verify that you own a legal copy of the Dragon's Lair DVD in order to use the HD versions they make available for download? It would seem to me that would be one of the few things we could speak freely of in regards to obtaining content & games for an emulator. I for one am loving gridlee under MAME!

of course it is legal to talk about purchasing the game. i guess brian was commenting on the slow bittorrent speed that nintari mentioned.

anyway here is some more info on the topic from the daphne wiki:

https://www.daphne-emu.com/mediawiki/index....gitalLeisureDVD

It also tells you where to buy the DVDs

Ah, I assumed that nintari was talking about the download in Daphne since it uses bittorrent as well. I already bought the 20th anniv set so I am covered there :)
