I have just purchased the upgraded version of gameex. I am having trouble getting my x-Arcade joystick working with GameEx. I can get all the buttons to work except the first player joystick. I have the number lock on like told to in the x-arcade manuel. I have ran the x-arcade test and the controller works. Some where there is a mix up between the gameex and the controller. Can some one please help me. Thanks.

Does the controller not work in gameex... Or not work in emulators.

Gameex has a setting that asks if you are using an xarcade... Did you toggle it?

It doesn't work in GameEx or any other emulators. I have tried regular MAME and MAMEUI32. And I haven't seen any toggle button for adding the X-Arcade Controller.

when you open notepad and press buttons of the first player, the corresponding keys should be seen. e.g when you press the bottom buttons it should be c and 5

if nothing appears try reprogramming the keys for first player according to this list

Yes when i do open note pad the keys do correspond to what i should be seeing And i have ran the X-Arcade test and everything is good there to so it says the problem is with the mame software the num lock on my computer is on everything else works except the first joystick. something is just not adding up????

i don't know how much you have tried yet but did you go into the mame settings (tab key) and the on the input preferences and did you change all the buttons and keys to match 1st player?

Does X-Arcade not work in Mame within Game Ex or are you saying you can't navigate the menu's within Game Ex?

If your native language isn't English, change the keyboard layout to English (this is available from the Control Panel). This will (according to X-Arcade's site) give you an overall better perfomance. If the Num Lock is "off", player 1 controls (joystick) will be Numpad 8 (up) Numpad 2 (down) Numpad 4 (left) Numpad 6 (left). If it's on it should be the directional arrows.
