I have 2.0 .net framework installed.

That's your problem, and thank you so much for tellling me that, I never knew what caused this problem, and now i do.

Time to make GameEx not install if 2.0 is installed.

Thanks again, but as for your problem, i would uninstall 2.0 install 1.1 SP1, until 2.0 comes out of Beta, and all the bugs are fixed, such as this one.

Just for newbies: Beta does not mean cool, exciting and new. It means buggy, 'i'm releasing this to save paying for people to test it, but you cant complain because its Beta and not officially supported'.

Er, I have had 2.0 beta (2.0.40607) installed from the get-go of using Gameex, and there's never been a problem on my machine.

2.0, 1.1 and 1.0 all coexst on the same machine and are supposed to be available to apps that are built for a certain version. See the folder:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework

Please undo that change. You can't use Micrososft's free developer tools without 2.0 beta.

Ok, i think its users who just have 2.0 installed. Would a check for version 2 only suffice? IE if they have 1.1 and 2 then that is fine? Or does 2.0 automatically install 1.1 also?

I don't think 2.0 installs 1.1. For me they're all independent entries. I can uninstall either 1.1, 1.1 hotfix, and 2.0 from add/remove programs.

If the issue is that he has 2.0 and not 1.1, you should just require 1.1. I'll try removing 1.1 to find out if that causes that behavior.
