If you want to know what people think about the product, you would be best suited going to a forum that uses them extensively to ask. I don't think anyone here uses the Gyration, but I know for a fact that there are TONS of people who use them and similar devices over at AVSForum. Not trying to get rid of you, just trying to get you a good source for answers. B)

Oh, and I don't know if it will help you or not, but if you are considering a remote with mouse functions built in, RemoteCentral is the premier site on the net dealing with remote controls.

Yup, that's one of the choices. You only need a keyboard if...well, you need a keyboard. I don't know what you plan on doing, but GameEx doesn't require a keyboard to work. It's designed to work in an arcade cabinet seamlessly without needing any external controls.

When i first registered GameEX i used it exclusively on my HTPC running Windows MCE2k5

I have the Gyration Mouse and Keyboard (Kinda expensive, about 70-100$ for the set) but the range is AMAZINg and the gyroscopic feature works really well, the only issue is make sure you set the mouse down upside-down when not in use or else the battery will discharge in 5 minutes.

GameEX works AMAZINGLY under MCE. I also used Pinnacle Gameprofiler, which unfortunately costs 20$. I'm sure you could just edit the advanced controls under GameEX to get navigation working anyways. (The only reason i used pinnacle game profiler was because I also had PC games which i mapped to my Xbox360 Wireless controllers)
