Just started happening,

today I loaded up Guardians / Denjin Makai II MAME Rom and played for a bit, then I pressed Escape to exit, and when GameEX came back up, i couldn't control any of the menu items. which is weird because if i pressed ESCAPE again, it would exit gameEX as if the inputs were working fine.

(I'm using iPac controller board in MAME Cabinet.)

any ideas? I tried searching the forum but I wasn't sure what to search for.
