Hello,

I really like GameEx and have been using the free version for about a year. I would like to register but I have some questions

1) After I get the key, do I need to reinstall?

2)Does game extender let you play your game from another computer away from you LAN....like a remote access or VPN and if so, is there any encryption or security (I would think so).

I just would like to hear more about game extender.

So what does game extender really do? The above is just not making any sense to me, sorry.

basically just allows you to look at the game screen - no inputs

It would be FAR too slow to play over the network (esp the internet). I've used my home network to remote login to my cab and launch a MAME game to test a config. The game played so slow, it's not even worth considering it. The GameExtender is primarily for displaying what's going on on the cab on a different display. You can publish to the GameEx web site to let others see what you are playing if you want. It won't show the game play, but it will show a set of static images of the game, the game info, etc. I personally don't use it, but there are apparently a lot of people who do.

Oh, and be aware that if you use GameEx to watch movies with any Risquée content, it might be a good idea to turn off GameExtender. There have been many instances of images being displayed on the GameEx site with provocative content...

I went ahead and donated for the key. I am eager to get it. Life without a nag screen coming soon
