hey guys, atm i'm using acidbrains vision theme but for some reason henever i have a database set up gamees crashes and when i select nothing in the database section it all runs fine, anybody who would know what causes this?

I remember someone saying that if there isn't enough space in a text field it will sometimes crash (like if the game name is too long). It's possible that the database is converting the filename to a longer name that exceeds this string length. That's my best guess, and it could be off base.

That's a good enough explanation for me, and I appreciate it, because I didn't understand why using a database (or a map file) would cause problems...now I know!

So any idea how i can fix this?

If it's caused by what BK says, then there isn't enough room in one of the boxes in your theme to display the game name. You could try a different theme, modify your existing theme, try a different (higher) resolution, or turn off the database.

However to quote Bkenobi...

Right, so what you need to do is isolate the problem by trying what Tempest said. Once you know what's causing it, you/we can come up with a proper solution.

Ok, ive tried with different emulators on different themes and i came up to the same thing, an error on all of them. I cant change the resolution cuz i'm on an arcade monitor and thus 640*480 is the highest for me.

To make it clear, i can start up gameex fine and can scroll trough everything i like, just when i click on an emulator wich has a database set up i get the crash. i added my log to see if you guys can find anything

I don't see the problem jumping out at me, but I do see problems. It looks like you have a bunch of paths defined that don't exist. For example, NES has an invalid control panel snap path. I don't know if it would cause this problem or not, but I personally would try to fix all errors/warnings in the log either way. It can't hurt and it could by some miracle solve the issue you are seeing.
