I know how to run GameEx using different Configs, but is there a way to do the same with the ADV CONFIG EDITOR?

I have tried the same command line but it doesn't work? Any suggestions please.

If I do not know what it is that you seek, I will be unable to help you find it. :P

I'm not sure what you are looking for, Advance configuration is used to edit Gameex.ini, there is no "config" for it.

So it goes like this...

You use the advanced configuration program to edit gameex.ini.

If you want to make a second Gameex.ini, you would make a copy of the Gameex.ini, and rename it to Mygameex.ini. (or whatever)

Then when you run advanced configuration again, you would be editing gameex.ini, and Mygamex.ini would be unedited.

Make sense?

Edit: This might be a nice feature to have in advanced configuration though, the ability to select the .ini that you want to edit....Speirs?

Tempest - that is what I am doing and you are incorrect as the editor looks at the gameEx.ini file which I call the Config file. (Oops)

Thanks Brian that solution worked a treat! (exactly what I was looking for) - didn't notice the FILE menu there before

In the advanced configuration you can click FILE at the top left and specify a diffrent config to edit.

There is no command line switch for this AFIK.

Well...One more thing that I never noticed! This is just like that "report post" thing...You know I never look to the left!

I knew that this would make a good feature request...I'm glad Tom got right on it! :P
