Install Help

Hi,

Complete newbie here. I download and run setup.exe for GameEx 9.32 but I repeatedly get errors no matter how many times I try to install it.

Install runs all the way through, then kicks up these errors, in order:

Exthemes.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

upgradeconfig.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

setupwizard.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Gameex appears to be installed when I close these pop ups, but when I try to run it it says:

Gameex has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Am I doing something wrong here?

This is not normal... Can you re-download the setup file.. Also if that does not work please provide us with info about your pc. OS version,processor type and speed,memory etc....

Also your pc may be infected with viruses... I know a guy who couldnt run mame... Crashed everytime... Did a virus scan and cleaned out the system then it worked.

We can get this resolved Im sure.

It sounds like .net framework 2 might not be installed properly, Id try reinistalling that, and also provide more info like Brian asked..

Guys, thanks so much for the help!

It turned out to be a problem with the .net 2 framework. When I tried to repair or uninstall the .net Framework, I would get an error.

I found online via search someone that provided a cleaning tool to fix the .net Framework. I ran the tool, it removed the .net framework completely.

I then reinstalled it, and now GameEx works.
