GameEx as a FE for a Touchscreen?

I am planning on building a bartop touchscreen similar to a Merit Megatouch and I was thinking that GameEx would be perfect for this. Has anyone else tried this?

There have been projects that have used touchscreen monitors in the past. GameEx will work fine that way as long as you can setup the touch panel as mouse input (which is typical AFAIK). The only problem you will run into is finding games that take touch screen input to play. Obviously, you can use pretty much any PC game that uses mouse input (like solitaire for example), but MAME might be a bit limited. I don't know off the top of my head how many games are available that run that way.

As far as other things, jukebox should work great! If you want to be able to surf the web, you can always install an on screen keyboard software.

I'd consider using Media Portal or Album Player if you're after a touchscreen jukebox. There seems to be no way of paging in the jukebox (that i can find) with a touchscreen.

I launch Freebox jukebox as an external app and that works fine with a touchscreen....

GameEx can be a little bit fiddely with the menus on a touchscreen...

Like scrolling down the radio stations.......Click on release (in my touchscreen software config) did work once....but now seems not to....

Not to arsed at the mo...

Teh GF has got bigger plans for me....
