I've got VPinMame set up to run with the new zip support feature, and noticed that the "back" navigation button (as in a key, not the green back button at the top of the screen) doesn't work once you're exploring the inside of a zipped rom.. Anyone have this problem? Or should I be looking at my config further?

Also, if anyone else is looking at setting VPinMAME or VisualPinball set up with the zip support enabled, you'll need to use a script to copy the .VBS files into the [ROMPATH]\Unzipped7-Zip folder using the "Also Run" (where you'd normally run vpauto.exe) - had to do it this way, as it looked like running the script using the "Run Before" method didn't actually run the script.. Not sure what was going on there.

It's better to create a wrapper to do it all instead of using GameEx zip support. Simply unzip all the needed files (tables & libraries) to a temp directory. Then wait for the process to close and delete the files. GameEx will run it smoothly. IMHO it's the best way. Then you'll only have one file that does everything you need it to do. Thanks for the tip though. Wasn't aware that all the files could be in same directory. Thought that the library files had to be in their respective folders. That goes for Future Pinball as well.

Do you mean the back button is not working in GameEx, or to exit the game?

Potentially.. I've written an all purpose VBS wrapper for this and been using it for years, but it wouldn't play ball with the Hide Desktop feature.. So I'll persevere with GX' zip support as much as possible :)

Sorry mate, not the "back" button per se.. say if I use the p1/p2 buttons (mapped as chars "1" & "2" respectively) on my cab to navigate through GameEx' menus - 1 selects, 2 backs out.. That combo works fine, until you go inside a zipped rom - non zipped roms are OK. Once inside a zipped rom, I have to use the mouse to get back to the list of roms for that emulator - once back in the roms list, I can go back to using the "2" key to back out of the menu.
