I could have sworn this was in the FAQ, but I just checked and it's not. There is no official stance on this from Tom AFAIK. Basically, you can use the registration from the first machine on the second if you want. The software is not supported by licensing or retail sales, only donations. If you feel that a donation is appropriate, that's the answer.

If Tom, HK, Brian, etc. know of an official stance, please post and add it to the FAQ...

Adding it now... Basicly there's nothing stopping you... We dont have a strict policy on this as us users dont abuse the system. I do have some offical word and I'll add it to the faq and here as well..

Personally I have donated twice.. I also have gameex installed on a few machines (more than 3) I also donate my time to the well being of this forum.

Ive donated twice because I appreciate all the time Tom dedicates to gameex and Ive wanted to buy him a couple beers.. 20 dollars isnt that much.

All we ask is not to abuse the system.. We have a great thing going with gameex and a great userbase. I remember at one time this was threatend by a distro of gameex on a tracker being givin away with keys. Bad news

But ya... You donated go ahead and put your key on your second pc. But dont give it away to your buddys etc....

hope this helps clear things up.

to be honest... as a student i really appreciate the low price policy for such a great product and i would have thought twice in the beginning about spending more money.

i think i would have gotten mamewah instead. But i'm glad i paid for it!

after using the software for half a year i can definately say that i would pay more money

He does actually. I went ahead and tried to donate for my friend under his email addy and he gave me the cash. When Tom saw my name on the card the paypal transaction was cancelled and a refund was givin. Then I called Tom and let him know what was going on.

So there... :)

My bad...I used the word "never".
