First that is the video of the v3 themes being developed, not all of the features are available in the current version. See the v3 post on this board.

Second you need the movies to show them. Head over to http://www.emumovies.com/arcade.html, donate, and make some hard drive space.

Third put them in your mame avi folder and make sure your avi paths in gameex point to it.

1) Download whatever emulators you want to use and set them up so they run correctly

2) Download and install GameEx

3) Run the Setup Wizard from the GameEx start menu folder and set up everything that seems appropriate (it's pretty well explained where it's not intuitively obvious

4) Play around with it to see what needs tweaking for your preferences

5) Once you have set gone through 1-4, come back to the forum and search for your specific questions. Make sure you look in the FAQ as many of the more common setup questions have been answered there already.

6) If you have questions still, post a question including all pertinent info. If GameEx is crashing, include the complete log.txt file. If something else is going wrong, you will probably still want to post the log.txt file.

7) Remember that this is for fun...enjoy it!
