Vista 64 problem with gamex lag screen

I just started to use Vista 64... My pc is a dual core 3.0GHz not overclocked and I am running MAME64. Many of the slower roms( blitz, carnevil, guantlet) run very well so would highly recommend trying it compared to XP 32 bit.

I am a registered user but wondering how to get rid of the lag screen. I ran the part wjhere it updates the registry but the lag is still occuring.
