config help

Hey all, Im new around here and need some help. when I try to access a game in mame though gameex it will run for about 5 sec. then freeze up or go back to game ex. Ive looked though the forum and none of the suggestions have helped. I was wondering if someone could post there config for gameex and mame so i can see what im doing wrong. Im using mame .99 either mame32 or cmd line. Any help would be nice.

by the way Tom gameex is the best looking frontend i have seen -- great job!

If you go in the config, under Advanced Mame Configuration, you'll see the command line that's used with MAME. I'm using what was the default (at the time) of:

-skip_disclaimer -skip_gameinfo -triplebuffer -nowindow -joy

Try running MAME from the command line with the same options to see what happens. You might need to remove -triplebuffer or -joy if you don't have a joystick.
