Problem Exiting Daphne

I am having a problem exiting Daphne. The game launches and runs perfectly, but when I hit escape to exit, Daphne locks and never closes.

I am kicked to the desktop, but with no taskbar. ctrl-alt-del shows that daphne is still running the ROM.

The GamEX log file shows that the audio and video are closing, but it never gets beyond that. Any suggestions?
