Basically what the main topic title says, are there any updated game databases?

Or, which are the most accurate?

Thanks.

Well since they arent making nes, snes games anymore Id say the ones that come with gameex are the most accurate. Mame generates its own based off the gamelist.xml it generates in conjunction with the history.dat nplayers.ini etc....

Im sure if you find an error and want to submit it to us we can fix it for the releases. But other than that they should be pretty good.. I bleieve most of the data was scraped from allgames.com or somthin

It should be mentioned that you could have two sets of databases for emulators on you GameEx installation. I don't know if Tom removed the old ones when the new ones were included, but if so, you will want to use the ones with bracketed categories at the beginning rather than the ones without.

Use: [Handheld] Gameboy.mdb

Don't use: Gameboy.mdb

There's nothing wrong with the second one, but the first one has more information and was just finished last year.

Well what's confusing me is that I have 860+ snes roms, whereas the database files only show 730+.

Can anyone explain why that is?

Thanks.

That's the most up to date database there is, if you want to add more games to it feel free.

I've no interest in going back to all those databases at the moment after all the time I spent on it last year.

If you do add some games share it with the rest of us please.

No problem. I'll spend some time on it over the next few days and see were I get.

Cheers.
