It simply wont play them, they play happily in WMP but Gameex will not launch them at all, Just returns straight back to the menu..

Running latest version, with FFDshow under Windows 2000SP4...

Any suggestions anyone?

Are you using the recommended build of FFDShow on the GX website ? If that doesn't work you could try the XVID codec (uninstall FFDShow first).

Just to elaborate...Gameex doesn't play well with the latest version of FFDShow, and it is recommended that you use the version from the Gameex website.

Tried with both xvid on its own and the recommended ffdshow and it does exactly the same... just goes black screen for a moment then returns to menu..
