Hi,

Anyone know where I can download an archive of Arcade Manuals in one hit.

I was thinking of using the eBook part of Gameex to view them - would this work?

There's actually a manual option for MAME that allows you to display arcade manuals. I think the manuals must be in PDF format, but that's typically what they are published in anyway. I can't list the location where to find it, but if you do a little searching, you should see it.

Well most manuals if im not mistaken are more Technical than anything. Providing dip switch settings and other hardware info..

Are youlooking for that ormore for the instruction cards that you find on the bezel most of the time?

Good point Brian. I looked at a few manuals a while back and decided that, while they are very cool if you have the board and/or cab, they are not that interesting to view in a MAME cab. I have found them useful when trying to use the components from arcade cabs in my projects though!

And to view the Manuals, you have to download the Manual Viewer from the Gameex site.

I thought I'd throw that in...

Actually, I'd like to know where to get instruction cards in one fell swoop. I think (if they are what I think they are) that they would be cool on a secondary monitor.

Good point. In order to view manuals, you need the manual viewer from the main GameEx site.

Instruction cards would be AWESOME! Some games need a little extra guidance to play correctly. However, you might find the command.dat very useful. It works in HK's CP Wizard so you can see what the combos are for fighting games (primarily).

There's software available that will download a list of files based on your parameters. One example is DownloadThemAll! for Firefox. This will require a bit of effort in this case cause it doesn't use a list, it uses regex type inputs. I hear there are others that might work better, I just haven't used them.

Check out this list for a few to choose from. Here is a comparison of the features.

I used a program called mp3 wolf back in the day that created a list of available mp3 downloads from a specific site that you input and would let you select which one(s) to download. I suspect a robot like this would help grab all 7000+ PCB images for you.

I DO NOT have them! :(

Not that I want them, I'm just suprised. :o

They are included in a new release of mame extras at a certain site for mass download....

I was also looking around for instruction cards, If I put all the ones I could find together, I probably wouldn't have 100. :(

I really thought they would be cool on a secondary monitor.

the mame extra's for .125 is about 25GB of stuff :X

Is this :X happy?, or sad?

You don't have to download the whole thing just select the files you want. I don't think I should say much more than that here.
