I tried making a list of all the things I need to get set up and that I'm curious about, I know there are a lot of really helpful people on here and it's been a tremendous help! So far the things I've wondered are:

Can I donate money to remove nag screen when the computer is not online?

GameEx offers a torrent with MAME preview movies, but it is not seeded. Is there a current seeded torrent with the MAME videos?

Is there a way to change the "Initialization complete" video on GameEx load?

1. Not sure what you mean, but if you go online, and donate, it will remove the nag screen.

2. Circo has just completed the full mame video set, and is available at emumovies.com

Tempest, thanks for your reply! I just brought my computer out of the cab and hooked it up to register GameEx, just waiting on the email that tells me what to do to 'upgrade' to registered version. I'll check out those videos at the link you gave me. My biggest question now is if I can change that intro movie, if I can do that I think my setup will be just about complete! Well, once my control panel comes in that is.

Oh, I see what you are saying. Tom will send you a small program that makes a registry entry, so if you have a thumb drive or other option to tranfer files between computers, you can do it that way, and you can put your game computer back in your cab. If not, you'll have to wait.

So far as the video goes, you might be looking for Startback.png, or bak.png (or you might not!)

Look in: C:\Program Files\GameEx\THEMES\Your theme name here\MEDIA, and see if the file your looking for is in there. Obviously, you have to know what theme you are using to do this. If it's there, just replace it with the file you want to use (keeping the name the same as the one you replace of course).

Yes you can change startup video. In the configuration yourll see a statup video setting. Although It sounds like your using one of alpha themes, and it might be preset in theme.ini in C:\Program Files\GameEx\THEMES\Your theme.

I changed the .ini just like you said and it worked like a charm, thank you very much for your help!
