I love you too Brian.... ;)

I wouldn't go as far as saying I love you Brian. LOL. But to give you heads up. The emu doesn't run from command line. In order to make it work would be to script a wrapper to keypress to the correct game like my vivanonno wrapper. A wrapper was created by an ex member already to do this.

any luck Brian?

Well yes and no... I downloaded the emu and it works withmy mame roms.. Loading isnt by numbering system and the emu does not support command line options. The current version is 3.04 and comes with a loader of sorts but I need to figure out how to interface it with gameex.

At ********* there is the loader there for version 3.02. However I dont feel the desire to get this emu going as mame supports all the roms this emu does... minus the hacks.

Id check config HQ and perhaps I can take more time to play with this one. But it doesnt seem very promising :(

So you are basically saying:

1) Doesn't add any more games (other than hacked versions)

2) Doesn't work from the command line

3) Requires a custom programmed loader that isn't currently available

4) Requires time that isn't available

Thus, "I don't wanna <_< "

Very close actually.

1) Doesn't add any more games (other than hacked versions)-- Thus no real motivation

2) Doesn't work from the command line--- Meaning a pain in the ass

3) Requires a custom programmed loader that isn't currently available-- There is one on config HQ that I could decomplie and possably update

4) Requires time that isn't available-- More or less true If I knew exactly how to go about this Id be more than happy to spend the time.. But as of right now Im stumped.

Thus... Id like to.... its just not going to be as easy as I thought it may be.. Ive only written a handfull of loaders and my skills are not up to par.. Id have to do alot of research... :)

Well I know exactly what needs to be done to make it work if you need the help Brian! It's basically like I said from the beginning. When you open the list of games you could script it to down press to the correct rom based off the list and then load.

Well I was thinking more of an active window search.

There is a Gamelist.txt file that shows the rom name that is displayed in the select game window of fbevo

Each of these games can be added to a simple AHK script.

each game would have its own script. Chances are with the majority of the games being emulated in mame only handfull would need to be made.

It would basicly look kinda like

Run fbevo.exe

Wait win active finalbrunevoltiion

Send f6 (brings up load game window

Select streetfighter II

send ENTER

That would be one script.. Compile to EXE and set your rom filter as EXE.. You can make one for every game.

I need to figure out how to select a predefine string of text in an active window before I can move forward.

Ahhhh good idea. I'll see what I can come up with as well.

Got it working Brian! Will release when I finish fine tuning. Were you able to get F6 to bring up the game list cuz I was unable to do that?

This seems like a good place to throw in the reference to the webpage that shows what games are supported better in other emulators other than Mame.

thanks for all the work on this... if indeed all the games are supported in mame I can jsut use mame.. I assumed I was getting more games by using this collection

Ahhh man! After we put in all the work! LOL. :P . Oh well. Another emulator made more cab friendly. Will release hopefully today. Just tweaking it a bit as I had some trouble with some of the clones to be ran easily.

i just broke the rules of the gameex forum by mentioning where to download roms. Please do not be like me.

Many moderators heeded the call of rules being broken. Yay GameEx moderation team! :P
