Hi all! Just a small list of things that I'm having trouble with in gameex.

1) Project 64 1.6 gives me an "Unable to open file" error. When i open Roms through the PJ 64 gui everything works fine, but when i drag and drop a file on to Project 64 .exe it gives me the same error, any ideas?

2) Gameex crashes when i try to access my SNES roms with the following error.

22:24:08.0 27/04/2008: Trying reinitialising the display after sleeping for 4 seconds

22:24:08.0 27/04/2008: Exception count will be dropped to 15

3) CD-i Emulator What?

4) Freedo How?

5) Project Tempest Huh?

Can't get any of these to work for love nor money!!

6) Jukebox doesn't play audio... nuff said

7) MSX running through MESS jsut crashes back to Gameex, heres my command line: mess.exe msx -cart "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" -joy -now -nonewui

8) The same thing with the Atari Lynx (running through mednafen)

command line:mednafen.exe -fs 1 "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"

Note: This command line works with everyting else i use through mednafen GB advance etc.

And i think that about it ...(for now!) I know this is a huge list to shift thrugh but if anyone could help i would be very grateful

Thanks in Advance

This is too complicated to answer in a single thread without getting things all confused. I suggest you ask one at a time in a separate thread for each major question. Also, search the forum for Freedo and Project64 as I know there were a couple threads that gave good tutorials on these. There's probably a lot of info for MESS and the others as well (I remember discussions on them, but not the outcome).

scranusesscrunya,

Did you ever get any of this working?

Bkenobi wasn't blowing you off, We'll help, but you are asking for alot in one thread, and if 9 problems get fixed in a thread called "9 questions to test your knowledge", it makes it hard for other people to find answers later.

Questions like "Project Tempest - Huh?" are especially difficult to answer....

If you are still having problems, start a new topic for each emulator. For the emulators like PJ64 that you need help setting up in Gameex, use the advanced configuration to "export" your config, and post it.

For other help please be specific as to what problems you are having.

For what it's worth, I was told by more than one person that project tempest wasn't worth setting up.

Hey,

Go a few things fixed, PJ64 is just that old chestnut of removing the quotes from the command line.

Freedo has been fixed using the closemul method (which is available on the submitted configs section in the forum)

Znes has been fixed in the lastest release (thanks tom!)

I think your right project tempest is definately not worth the hassle!
