NullDC

http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?s=...ost&p=30527

Read the post no need to follow the link in the post.

Youll need to edit the Nulldc.cfg according to my instruction and use the command I posted at the bottom.

EDIT: I guess I have no life as I have set all these up...

I saw the post u referred to.....................

GETTING NULL DC to LAUCH VIA GAMEEX commandline

Find the Nulldc.cfg in the INSTALL DIR. look for these tags

[imageReader]

DefaultImage=

PatchRegion=0

LoadDefaultImage=1

[nullDC]

Dynarec.Enabled=1

Dynarec.DoConstantPropagation=1

Dynarec.UnderclockFpu=0

Dreamcast.Cable=3

Dreamcast.RTC=1543276800

Emulator.AutoStart=1

[drkpvr]

Emulation.AlphaSortMode=1

Emulation.PaletteMode=1

Emulation.ModVolMode=1

OSD.ShowFPS=0

OSD.ShowStats=0

Fullscreen.Enabled=1

Fullscreen.Res_X=640

Fullscreen.Res_Y=480

Fullscreen.Refresh_Rate=60

Enhancements.MultiSampleCount=0

Enhancements.MultiSampleQuality=0

Enhancements.AspectRatioMode=1

NOW SAVE THE NULLDC CONFIG AND GO INTO THE GAMEEX CONFIG

(in gameex config)Command=nulldc_100b1_6.exe -config ImageReader:DefaultImage="[rompath]/[romfile]"

-------I'm alittle confused what he wants me to do based on the way he worded it......does he want me to "change" my null DC config to make sure it matches what he has?

Also what will be the workaround for quitting NullDC after you are done playing a game in via GameEx? There is no exit option in that Emulator other than Alt-F4 to quit the emulator....is that what you have to do?

If you mean HE as in ME yes... I want you to change your Nulldc.cfg to match mine. It basicly says to launch NullDC ,Automount the default image,Autostart emulation and go full screen.

The command line is what tells the config what the default image is.

So in Gameex use the command I gave.

Fill out the working path and rompath accordingly

you rom filter should be the format your Images are in eg...CDI

Edit: Check your PM's

Hi Brian sry i missed you Pm's....

WOW i found a pretty crazy thing.......i got it to work....BUT

it erases my nullDc.cfg everytime!!!! ?? how is that possible? right now my nullDC .cfg file is completely blank after running it.....isnt that a but crazy?

it also "reset" my NullDc like i never used it before.....i had to set the date gain and all that......does it have anything to do with using XPadder? its the only way to play NullDc using a gamepad....

You MAY have a corrupted DCFLASH... Thats about as far as I can get into that here.

Chankast is famous for corrupting bios

For both emus set showdesktop to true and try again

yeah that worked Brian...weird the config had it set to the "No'

but another problem....when CCS64 launches it in a little Window....? and the sound is mega choppy....

But if i launch CCS64 outside GameEx it's fullscreen and there is no choppy sound....

You don't have to have set desktop to true! I have it turned of..

All you need to do is run the ccs emulator on its own (without gameex). When loaded press ALT+V and set the video mode to a full screen mode i.e. 640x480. Set the refresh to 60 (games run slightly faster but much smoother). Change any other options you want and then press ALT+F4 to quit...

Now run it in gameex and all will be fine. I have show desktop off as it gives a cleaner entry to the emulator.

Hope that helps!

hi greatflash

yes i already did all that....but it still launches into a window if i launch it from gameEX and it runs like 10FPS......

outside of gameex is launches totally perfect no problems at all

also if i show desktop "off" my screen is completely blank when i launch it

if i turn it on i can see it fine......

i think thats where my problem may lie?.....the fact maybe i have to have desktop "on" is causing my CCS64 to run in a window launched from Gamex?

Posted

You have it backwards. The fact that it's running in a window is why GameEx must have show desktop on. If you get it running in full screen, you won't need show desktop on.

Ok, here goes...

1) Please download the updated config files from here UPDATE

2) Put c64.rar contents in your ccs emulator folder as before.

3) Run CCS.exe from windows (not gameex) and put into a non-window mode - then PRESS RETURN to set it (while on the screen resolution line)

3) Set ccs refresh to 60 hz

4) ALT-F4

5) do-not re-enter ccs unless from gameex (its better that way :) )

6) check shoelaces are tied (don't want you tripping)

7) run gameex and hope all goes well this time..

If ccs is running full screen, the desktop setting in gameex really does not matter..

good luck

try changing the way future pinball renders video.. eg direct 3d / open gl etc...

EDIT: what happens when you use RUNLASTGAME.bat?

hi brian....i dont see a runlastgame.bat in my FP folder? is it there?

It's in the GameEx\DATA directory named runitgame.bat

Or

Just click:

1. Start

2. All Programs

3. GameEx

4. Run Last Game
