Screensaver in GameEx + Plasma TV

I don't like how the screensaver that plays mame stuff displays the information about the rom, and the GameEx logo and text at the bottom of the screen constantly. It would be great if this would flip back and forth from the bottom and top of the screen each time a game changes.

Along those same lines, the vertical games have the Mame\GameEx logo on the left\right of the screen when it is playing, I would like that to go away too.

Are there options to do this already?

You can turn it off. Open up the advanced config app and change the "Bezel" setting for both "Basic MAME Settings" and "Screensaver/Attract mode"

Thanks for the tip.

Are you talking about just the side ones when it's a verticle game? I do love the bottom area that displays the game name year and logo during screensaver mode, I just need it to swap from bottom to top each game. Is it possible to get this on a list of possible features?

Tom's suggestion is just about the bezel artwork that shows GameEx. The only settings for the screen saver game information are 'ON' and 'OFF' at the moment. This is a relatively new feature and has not been updated since its inclusion. I think your request is one of two or three that should probably be considered when it gets updated though.

Screen saver game info update ideas:

1) swap the location of the info from the bottom to top/sides to avoid burn-in.

2) enable info for advance MAME

3) I can't remember right now, but there was a 3rd suggestion...

3) Perhaps only display info if you move the trackball or joystick etc ?

Oh yeah:

4) Disable info if you insert coins and try to play a game. (It's hard to play with that crap at the bottom )
