I don't know if it belongs here or not the Mods can decide. Since I feel like I am cool with peeps on here I would give them a look at what I have been up to as of late. Since Tempest was slacking ;) I decided to go to the auction with the sole purpose of buying a cab with a decent monitor to make a Multi JAMMA unit. What I mean by that is a 2 player cab that I could modify the control panel a lil bit and buy game boards for what I like. Wouldn't you know it someone brought a clean looking NFL Blitz 2000 Gold Edition game! I fell in love immediatly and didn't want to get into a major bidding war for it. So I found the guy selling the machine and offered $500.00 USD. Needless to say he took it out of the auction. Since I already have a machine coming that runs NFL Blitz 2000 / NBA SHowtime On NBC I decided to hunt down a NFL Blitz 99 board I found one and installed it. I got a NOS CPO from a local vendor and found a NOS marquee on E-Bay (imagine that me on E-Bay as much as I hate it). I'll have more pics later if this allowed to be here. Only thing I have left to do is get a medium res monitor, atm I have a low res monitor (boy I have been spoiled by Mame on a LCD) I also want to get some sideart for the machine like I saw on KLOV. I got a post up on on the BYOAC forums in the artwork section but no one has contacted me. :( I started by putting Electric Ice buttons in it with RGB modules. To get the appropriate colors and the buttons to light up I installed a "Y" connector at the hard drive and made a wiring harness and hardwired the buttons to the correct colors. Like I said I will post more pics if this is allowed here since it is not Game Ex or Mame related. If it is allowed feedback would be appreciated.

Three things (in reverse order):

3. Sweet deal! Every once in awhile things just work out!

2. I was almost done with your 3-sided upright 36" monitor cabinet. :(

1. This definately does not belong in this thread. (Come on Brian....Ban Him!)

No seriously, outstanding find, and as usual, good work!

It's because of your cabinets that I want to build a new one.

Its always nice to see others enjoy the hobby.. That is why most of us are here...

Actually there is a pinned topic at the top of the forum requesting to see users cabs... So a BIG YES... Keep'em coming and if posssable use the sticky thread.

This way newusers can see all these in one place :)

I think he avoided putting this in that thread because this one is an actual arcade machine and the sticky is for machines running GameEx. I guess the sticky could be changed to include other arcade related projects though. Course, then we might end up with people showing off pinball machines and jukeboxes as well...and who wants that! Well, I do for one! I always wanted a pinball machine!

GameEx works in your homemade jukes too so I would think that would be acceptable.

Thanx guys!

I feel like this is my second home so I like to share stuff I am working on. I'ma add some more pics of the panel later (now that it is finished). All I am waiting for now is the marquee and I'm done. Unless I can get some sideart that would just set it off. I'm glad I can inspire people to start projects. They are a lot of fun. I guess it's a good thing I can't woodwork cause there would be cabs all over the place. :)

Here are some shot of the control panel now that I am finished with it. All I need now are some new joysticks & a new monitor. ;)

I thought an NFL Blitz 2000 was a medium resolution cabinet......

Actually it was converted from a Killer Instinct 2. So maybe that would explain the standard res monitor sitting in the cab. In about 3 weeks from now I should have the funds to buy a new tri-sync monitor from Happs. I can't wait either. Now the game I have coming up has a 33in medium res monitor in it and picture is schweett!!!!! however the cabinet is gonna need work to be decent. Hopefully Tempest will get off of his duff and help me this go round ;) hehe
