I donâ??t know if anyone will be able to help me but I switched over from using mame32 to advanced mame and now the mouse "trackball" is not recognized. I switched back to mame32 and it the mouse is recognized fine. I really want to use advanced mame and still be able to use my mouse "trackball". Does anyone know if there is any option I need to add on advanced mame to recognize a mouse?

Long time since I've used it.....But

Have a look in Advmame.rc and see if there is a device command for the mouse....

It should read device_mouse auto

Try that.....

If you had it working at one point, but now it doesn't, I would suggest making a new directory for AdvanceMAME and starting from scratch. You can point to the current rom location, so you don't need to have a duplicate rom set taking up space. It could be as simple as a rom specific config file (controller for example) problem. You could delete them, but I wouldn't recommend it until you try the new copy first. It's easy to delete things, it's harder to recreate them. I've learned that the hard way :(
