Ths might involve a good performance increase on some systemsFixes having background videos makes gameex not startupFixes several directdraw erros that could cause gameex to error and finishDrawing text to the display has been optimized a littleAn automatic optimisation is performed by GameEx on systems that are running slowly after a period of time to turn off AniBakHopefully GameEx will run on more systems now, and Ill see a few less error reports coming inAlso contains updated Italian translation by sbabyThere will also be two new themes available shortly with fixed video backgrounds that will only work best with this release and going forward thanks to the fixes. Tom Speirs
Oh nah I was using the Game Launcher theme I'll try changing it thanks!*Edit* Changed the theme that did the trick Its fixed in 9.19. Now available. As for the issue above, thats probably because GameEx is trying to play a video and it cant. It was not playing background videos before when it should have. Id check your theme folders for avi and mpegs.
Dave H
I searched C:\Program Files\GameEx\THEMES\ for *.avi and *.mpg and the only file it came up with wasbak.avi in C:\Program Files\GameEx\THEMES\Default - Galaxian\MEDIA so I switched to that theme and tried loading but still the same black screen.I even re-downloaded the default themes and overwrote existing files but it still goes black after the 'loading' splash screen.Any other ideas?I also upgraded to 9.19.TIA

KriSX
been keeping my eye on this program... very impressed...i am currently designing my mame/emulation system and i think i've found the front end i'll be using...will definitely donate once i'm ready, keep up the good work EDIT: quick question... i know its a bit off topic... but does GameEx work well with the X-Arcade Tankstick? i want to try and avoid having to use a keyboard and mouse... just hoping the tankstick is able to navigate and select stuff on the gameex interface without problems... cheers
