WinKawaks integration into GameEx

I am trying to set up WinKawaks within GameEx. From searches on the forum, I saw that NoLogic created a loader and special config to assist with this and posted it in the forum. However, the file(s) he attached have seem to disappeared from his post. Does anyone still have these lying around?

Iam sorry we cannot re-post them on the forum. It is his wishes that they are removed and we will not repost.

However If I rememer this weeked I will take a looksey and see what I can put together. Unless someone here already have an alternative.

Loader is not needed. Just use these options to get it to run.

"winkawaks.exe" [ROM] -fullscreen

Note: Quotes are needed around executable.

I noticed, like in the Themes and Media sticky, that a lot of his fantastic artwork was no longer attached to his posts. Are you saying that NoLogic is gone and does not want us reposting any of his work?

Do you have a MAP file made? This way the names look good.

I dont.. But oggalz might enjoy it. If it uses the same naming scheme as mame for its roms those lists based on rom name dont look that impressive

Sure. Give me awhile to config the emulator. LOL. Never configured it in GameEx. I'll upload both in awhile.

I tried this, and also:

winkawaks.exe "[rompath]/[romfile]"

and then I tried the above with quotes around the .exe

Not working for me.....Help! (it says "No game loaded" in the kawaks window)

I think it's not loading the game! LOL

Did you also set the rom path in the emulator as well?

I did have, I found out the problem was I was trying to run a game I didn't have the rom for....Rookie mistake...I should know better.

OK. Its running, and I have the options: "winkawaks.exe" [ROM] -fullscreen

It isn't quite fullscreen, and I can see the Winkawaks window behind the game (about 3/4" all around)

If I run it standalone, that doesn't happen.

What now?

Mine is working on my end so must be something you have different in the settings. Can you post a screen shot of what you're getting so I can duplicate?

Until you mentioned it, I hadn't noticed the promotion....

I know that you know this, but being an "Ultimate GameEx Guru" doesn't mean I know anything, it just means I talk to much. When I got my first promotion over at PD, I begged them to take it back so people wouldn't expect too much from me. I feel sorry for the poor schmuck who takes my advice because of that title thinking it must be OK. (It will be April 1st all year !) Maybe if they saw that most of my posts had one of these , they would take it with a grain (or two) of salt.

LOL. Well congrats on the promotion. Nothing wrong with talking too much unless it's someone who doesn't wanna listen.

Looking into it now. Looks like it's not going into full screen but windowed mode. Maximized perhaps.

Well we got that problem fixed. Other problem according to a good friend of mine might be because of select video blitter settings in the video setting. Try changing those and see what happens. I get different sizes when I mess with those settings.

Just so everyone knows, the problem we fixed is me not knowing the proper way to use the command prompt.

I played with the blitter, and zoom, stretch, and some of the other video settings, but apparently I didn't find the right combination.

I fixed (patched) the problem by using:

wait before keys: 5000

keys to send: %{enter} %{enter}

if anybody has a more elegant solution, let me know...
