Hey all. I am new to this and I was wondering if you could help me. I made sure to search the forms and such before I posted as to not waste your guys' time but I cannot seem to solve this issue.

The problem is, when I try to run a nes emulator in gameex be it Nestopia or VirtualNes the same thing happens. I select the the game, and the screen goes black for a few seconds and then it returns to Gameex with every game I try to run. No error messages show up wither. I have the preferences setting to Full Screen and I have even tried to run it using the "show desktop" option under emulator set up to no avail.

When I run the emulators "stand alone" without gameex they load fine with no error messages or anything.

I have seen some posts where users post their config files to help in the trouble shooting process. I am not sure how to do that so if you could help me out there to I would appreciate that.

If some one knows what may cause this problem it would be very helpful. Thanks!

Well if you configured Nestopia to laucnh fullscreen then you DONT need gameex to "SendKeys=%{ENTER}" So remove that.

Also after you do the and the issue still persists change ShowDesktop=False to TRUE

Cool. Well running in desktop mode seems to do the trick. I just have to manually set it to run in full screen (even though I have launch in full screen option selected) I can live with that though. Thank you

Somthing is still wrong.. Mine works fine.

did you remove the ALT enter switch?

alt enter switch? Im sorry how does one do that?

in your emulator config you have this tag SendKeys=%{ENTER}"

This is ALT +ENTER

ALT+ENTER is a widly used hotkey to bring active windows between fullscreen mode and windowed mode.

If your sending this key sequence the emu is launching fullscreen then this is putting it back intowindowed mode...

Then hideos is bocking it and you can only hear it.. tahts why when you enable show desktop you can see it running in windowed as hideos wont run on top
