My roms seem to be of type file as opposed to .snes or anything like that.

Again, I don't use SNES (That's my excuse if I'm wrng ;) )

You say your roms are in file format? I'm not sure what that means, but your config says:

GamesIn7Zips=True

I would assume your roms should be in 7z.....romname.7z, or this should not be set to true.

If I get this one right, I'm 3 for 3, (if you go back it's more like 3 for17, but who wants to go back?)

Your 3 for 3!!

But games loading with blank screen. I'll play around like I did with my NES rom

If your rom appears to load with sound and a blank screen you could try messing with the 'Show Desktop' option (true/false) for that emulator.

:)

EDIT: I see you have it set to 'False' - try setting it to 'True' and see what happens.

I've set it to true but the Zsnes seems to give me an error about the version being unstable. Is there another emulator I could use and how do I set it up?

Are you using the 1.51 official release (not a work in progress release) ?

In my opinion (if I say that first, I'm not wrng even if nobody agrees with me, it's just an opinion ;) ) I would try to get this working instead of trying another emulator (of course, as I mentioned I don't use any Snes emulator) I think that if you switch emulators, you'll just end up with a different set of problems.

1st question is, and shall always be "Do you have it running outside of Gameex?" by that I mean Gameex is not running, and you are running the emulator stand-alone. If the answer to that question is yes, then you need help setting it up in Gameex. If the answer is no, then you need help setting up the emulator.

That would go along way in giving us a starting point to help.

There is a tutorial, for ZNES, and many other emulators here:

http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/

If you don't have it running stand-alone, please try reading that first.

Don't get me wrng, we will try to help all we can....

Please post again if you need help!

I set it up through GameEx but when I go into Zsnes through the desktop I cant see where to set it to run full screen? Any Ideas??

I think you have to set that in the zsnes gui or config file.

Yeah I just cant see it in the GUI. Im probably just overlooking it but I cant see it

Exit GameEX and go into the zsnes folder on you hard drive. Look for the zsnes executable (the icon with the coloured snes controller buttons) and double click it. It should open the zsnes gui. You can (i think) select your setup options there first. Try getting a game to run from the gui. I think the general approach is to first setup an emulator outside GameEX (GameEX not running) and configure it first. When you're happy it's working fine there, then try to get it working with GameEX.

I checked at that site I referred to before:

http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/

It looks like there's options Config>video confiq to set different resolutions and fullscreen.

If that doesn't make any sense, go there and select ZNES on the left side. The video config is about 1/3 of the way down...

Any recommened settings? I have it at 800x600 at present

Take a closer look. I have my 800x600 DS F

If you look at the legend it states that it is full screen.

Perhaps you didnt choose that exact one...

D=allow filters

S=Stretch

F= Fullscreen

EDIT:I attached my zsnes.cfg Just drop it in your folder. Hopefully we are using the same version

TEMPEST: I cant believe you dont have SNES setup.. Wow... ;)

At least you didn't say you couldn't believe I got 4 in a row... :lol:

Ya, I think the last time I asked you suggested that as my next project...I just recently got my roms together, so I will be working on it....I just checked, It looks like my roms are N64, I assume thats not the same as SNES. So many abbreveiations... I have NEStopia, and ZNES in my emulators folder, I must have been working on it at one time...As you know I've been in a bad mood lately, I guess I was taking a break. I will work on them next week!
