alt. to emumovies

So im downloading some videos from emumovies and am kinda disapointed with some of the NES ones. Addams family for example shows no game play at all. Is there a site where the videos are of just game play or do i have to make them myself?

There are a few that don't show actual game play. I know that kenclops created a huge set of these, but I don't think they were ever shared. If he reads this, perhaps he might consider creating a rapidshare download or something so that others can benefit from his work. Other than that, I don't know of a better set than the emumovies collections.

Speaking of things that never got shared, I gathered up all of the theme logos I could find, and sorted them out, thinking that it would be nice to have them all in one place and sent them to Tom and Brian, but no link for those either. I could post the link myself, or was there something in the logos that shouldn't be shared?

well if kenclops doesnt want to share it, ill create one myself of just gameplay and upload it somewhere. Would rather just download it and save time, but ill gladly do it.

Perhaps you could PM kenclops and ask him if he still has those videos to start with. He had done sets for all of the popular consoles and a few of the lesser ones. I think there were something like 12-15 in his set. I was actually waiting for him to post a link, but it didn't happen.

I tried fooling around with "create videos" using JNES but i cant figure out what im doing. I imagine i use the escape key to to start and end the video, but pressing ESC makes JNES ether go away or go to windowed mode. Is there a doc. which explains how to do it. Ive looked at the tutorial section but found nothing.

It's best to do this outside of gameex, and use, say, Adobe Live or Vegas to edit them. It's a bit more involved than you guys think.. Your other option is to use the native 'create videos' option built right into GameEx, but that will only shoot 30 seconds from launch so it's give and take as far as accuracy.

Whats the best way to encode them? Im using nestopia to make nes movie files, then i export it to avi. I imagine i want to encode it using ffdshow but i get lost after that. I tried encoding it and putting it in the necessary folders, but when GameEx tries to run it, its very choppy. The video freezes a lot but the audio keeps going. I've read that its best to use standard rather then high definition avi files. Any help on what to do would be great.

I would be into the logo set also...I have a collection of my own, but it would be nice to offer a various set so you can choose which you like in your themes.
