Trouble with emulators - mapping esc key

I'm fine tuning getting all my emulators to work with Gameex...let me know if you've run into some of these problems, and how to fix em...Much thanks!

Emulators:

Atari 2600 - Stella Em - can't find joystick support for my Ultrasticks?

NES - Nestopia - can't map Esc key - I have to drag out the keyboard to close game.

N64 - Project64 Em - can't map esc key

Genesis/32x - Fusion Em - can't map esc key also

I know how to get into the configure screen, just can't get the key to map and work properly.

i have my joysticks working on these Emulators, just not the esc key...

Are you trying to use the GameEx escape to exit an emulator or does escape normally exit those emulators the way you have them setup?

I can escape MAME for example just by setting escape to one of my joystick keys, I am unable to find how to map escape for these other emulators.

If you enable MAP KEYS in the emu config it will listen for the ESC key to be pressed the close the process it launched via the command line.
