Evening all,

Have put all my sega cd & Mega cd games in folders and on discs. I have a map file that shows every game available even if the disc that is currently inserted doesn't have them it. Still trying to figure out how to get the map to read the disc and change the color to the show what is on the currently inserted disc. But that will come in time.

My problem is that when the cd game starts I have to hit enter to get past the cd screen I have to do it twice on Mega Cd games. Is there a script etc. that can be inserted on the command line to do this when entering the game. Or maybe something in the launch after.

Thanks for the jpg. Reason I couldn't find the export file is it doesn't exist in the setup wizard. As my config for this emulator was greater then 44, I have been using the wizard rather then the GameEx config.

Thanks Brian

I do like Gen32 better. Still Have to hit the enter key once on Sega CD and twice on Mega CD. Must be a function of the game system. Thought maybe a advance config could have a map that entered the keystrokes right after emulator loads the game. That way it would go directly to the game.

Thats strange I dont have to hit enter.

Course you can do sendkeys ~~ with a 2 second wait.

Sounds like what I need to do. How do I do that and where do I put it

Are you sure that's not your GPU settings doing that? I don't remember my Saturn games being like that. Fairly certain it stretches full-screen and I used it fairly recently, unless I used a different emulator. I only downloaded it to see what it was like, because when I looked a few years ago people were saying that Saturn emulation was close to impossible because of the complexity of the hardware :P. Worked well now though.

Ive been way too lazy to test on other machines.... BTW it is vista...

Could be anything :(

Try running it normally before using GameEx. Alt+Enter full-screens it by the way, I couldn't see any other way to do it and unless you can read the garbage in the readme, it doesn't give many hints about it either X_x. Just so you know, some full-screen applications don't stretch when using Intel graphics accelerators (and I assume many other brands too), and there are settings for most cards which define whether they stretch or stay at their normal size so check that too.

I get the error Brian has when the iso is not mounting

I get the error Brian has when the iso is not mounting

mine isnt an error about launching the game.. It launches fine just in that small window.

also you config implies you roms are in folders/sub folders.

SSF will remember you last settings so it should autolaunch fullscreen mode if thats the way it was when you closed it.

You are not mounting the iso correctly.. Id also assume your using an config from guy. He's a big fan of mapfiles.. I can tell by your command.. Ive also dumped using deamon tools as its adware now. My config looks like this

Have been burning all my files to disc to save hard drive space. Currently running 3-500 gig drives and still have lots of files that I haven't even tried to emulate yet. Had several video stores years ago and when I sold them they didn't want any of the games. So I have been spending my free time (Little that I have) converting them.I put the games in folders so that each game has the iso and mp3 in its own folder. Systems that use rom files I make folders for each country and run a seperate emulator for each thru GameEx. Haven't tried Magic disc. Will try to find it and see if it works better. All my disc games are *.iso or *bin. What is =*.nrg?

Posted

Nrg is Nero roms format. :)

If you create a disc image in Nero it will want to make it a NRG.. So far i havent seen any fault using that format...

Meaning I retain my sub channel data and cd audio :)

MAgic disc is a free alternitive to deamon tools... There are also very good free iso burning apps as well
