Well I have the issue of none of my mame games showing up in GameEx. When I open Mame32 it shows them and I can play as I choose. I set up the Rom folder with all my zipped roms in it have all games to show in menu and have tried many times to update my list from within GameEx. I just can't get any of the games to show up. I have looked through the Advanced and Basic Setups and all looks Right. Any Ideas on what I am obviously missing.

Any help or idea would be great.

Thx

Ive tried the whole show all games thing but it doesnt help. Here is my log file for all that want to take a look

Try moving you roms from E:\Downloads\Roms

to E:\Emulators\Mame\Roms

Tell gameex config where the folder is and update again.

well I have all my other emus set up but hey it would take me a tad to do it but lets see if this works.

Well then... Goto gamex config and in each of your setup emus choose export.. Then save the file somewhere SAFE. Then after you reinstall you can just import back into your config... Save TONS of time.

Again thanks for all the help.

Also would it change anything if I didnt use mame32 and just went with mame.

Could you post your Gameex.in located in the "program files>Gameex>Config" folder?

I dont think its my rom set since mame32 alone plays every thing fine.

And here is my gameex.ini

Im sure its something silly. Ive never run into this issue.. Is your gameex folder readonly?

Just checking, your mame.exe is in a folder called mame32.

and your roms are in a folder called mame. Is That Right?

Yup, I have set all my other emu's up fine its just this one is not showing anything for some odd reason.

Try downloading the official version of MAME, making sure it's the same version as your roms. It's possible the version you are using isn't outputing what GameEx is expecting when generating the list.

So your roms path is correct....

Go to setupwizard>advanced mame options

Set Verify roms to "no"

Set Use game filter to "no"

Update list.

That's all I got....Good Luck!

Well Thanks to Brian who got it running for me. It ended up being a extremely old version of mame32 which seemed to not export any data for gameex to find. So lesson learned USE UPDATED EMU'S.

Big thanks goes to all who tried to help.

Bkenobi called it... Good job!
