Not Gameex related I know, but wondering if anyone has found a source for reasonably priced tokens for their machines? Seems everywhere I look they are about the same price as a quarter and often more. In my situation, if tokens or quarters are going to walk it will be more by accident than theft so there's little incentive to switch to tokens at current prices.

There is a guy on ebay selling them for $.20/ea, which is the best I have found so far.

TIA

I've never seen them for less than $0.25/token, so I never considered it. The other thing you should be aware of is that you can't use the same coin mech for both coins and tokens. They use different validators, so you will have to purchase the appropriate one if that's not what you already have.

If you currently have a validator that works with quarters and you want to switch, you are looking at ~$.25/token + 2 validators/machine (assuming it's a standard 2 player cab). I can't seem to locate the Happs token validator, but the quarter unit is $18/ea. If you bought 100 tokens (probably a good minimum number, but you might want more), you would be looking at $18*2 + $0.25*100 = $61 + S&H = ~$75-80.

It seems to me that you would have to lose a LOT of quarters to make it worth the hastle of switching over. BUT, that's just my opinion and part of the reason I never worried about quarters/tokens and instead just added switches on the CP or coin reject button.

Thanks. My mech is adjustable and already configured for tokens + quarters from the outfit I bought it from, so I should be OK. I also have learned how to tweak the mech if I should run into problems. I believe I came across that over at BYOAC.
