You asked me how I made all of your roms show up in Gameex, and I was trying to upload pictures to show you, but I couldn't fiqure out how to do it. With a little help, I found out that I was trying to upload a .bmp, and the forum uses .jpg format.

I saw your pictures, If you change "Only Existing Roms" to yes, I think you will be happier with the results. Keep "verify Roms" turned off, and "update list" will go much faster.

By the way, I had french in highschool, but what you saw was from Babelfish. I've forgotten all I did know. Your English is way better than my French!

Spoonch: Open a DOS prompt (start -> run -> cmd) and navigate to your roms directory. In that directory, type 'dir *.zip'. This will report the total number of roms in that directory. That *should* be the number reported in GameEx and MAMEUI. If I had to guess, MAMEUI is filtering some out at this point. The total you should have can be found by checking a number of different places. I suspect the easiest would be to check the number of files wherever you downloaded them via your torrent manager (or whatever you did)...

From what I can see in the screenshot your choosing ALL GAMES.... not ALL GAMES work. so your list wont be quite that big.

Id choose working games to see how far off your list is.

Also Gameex is probably showing Bios sets.

I have v0.123 roms and if I do a 'dir *.zip' I end up with 7018 files. I suspect that Brian is right in that GameEx is also listing bios. You should probably be checking the box for 'working roms only' anyway since there's no need to select a non-working game. Of course, the problem there is that some games are listed as non-working, but play fine. What to do...what to do...

Maybe I should add in my tutorial what each item in the wizard does, but then the wizard will already tell you if you click on the button.....maybe I'll add that information instead.

Yeah I know what you mean Tempest. Some people collect ROMs like coins or stamps, they just have to have them all lol.

BTW I wrote a program a while back that extracted all the info from the Setup Wizard into a file which I collected and made into the GameEx New User Guide.

Hi, I try your trick to reduce the number of Roma Gameex my list. It worked not too bad, a few near Roma. Y does a valid technique, which effectively gives the same number of Roma from that indicated on Mame?

Can you give me the exact and succinct description of each items
