hmm you should really only have:

@ECHO OFF

D:
CD "D:\Zinc_v1.1"
ZiNc_Loader.exe 39

do you have extra settings you are using in Advanced Configuration?

It should look roughly like whats in the pic below...out side of a changes in pathing to match your system.

Yes it looks like that except for my directory is D:\Zinc_v1.1

Hmm maybe this doesn't work for Vista? are you running this on XP?

I'm running XP...set the loader to run as admin.

After that open a command console in your D:\zinc_v1.1 folder then type:

ZiNc_Loader.exe 39

That should launch whatever game 39 is.

I see the problem now. I am running Vista. when I try to run from a command console the window immediately closes and the script is still in the tray but paused.

I just tried it here...and it worked fine...did you edit the Settings.ini in the Zinc Config folder, to match where the roms are?

I have good news and bad news :)

the good news is that fixed it the games will now launch in game ex.

the bad news is they play too fast and no matter how many settings I change to 1024x768 they still go full screen at 640x480 and probably 16 bit. when I exit a game game ex will crash. I'm enclosing an error log (zipped). Man I am almost there :)

Did you read the PDF?

So changing the values in Renderer_D3D.cfg & Renderer_GL.cfg with in the Zinc Config folder had no effect on standard D3D & OpenGL? OpenGL2 has to be adjusted through ePSXe or the like.

All I can say is thank god I turned down that teaching job...because clearly I'm a failure in that area.

It's not your fault I chose to skip over that (I thought it wasn't needed) Doh! I'ma try again. Man there are a lot of configuartion folders. What do I have to do to get my winterblast setup to work? I want to get rid of some of these configuration folders or do I need to keep em?

Now your just bragging about your quad core machine, aren't you? ^_^

hehe wrong thread  I'm showing the world I'm too dumb to run zinc in Game Ex atm :)

The support folder is the only one that can be nuked...but I'd hold off on that till things are completely working right as a LOT of info is in it.

huh...well looks like I did do a complete job of house keeping as there are some xpadder profiles in the Controls folder...the profiles you can nuke...but not the configs.

Far as that PDF..the only thing you where suppose to skip was the bit about Xpadder as that didn't apply...everything else does and should be read.

Now to get your WinterBlast configs to work with this setup...you'll need to open up your original winterblast config that you done prior...then find the matching file in the Controls folder...then copy the contents from the original...into the new file...replacing everything.

All the files are standard ASCII...so just text files with funny extensions on them...so they can be opened with Notepad or any other text editor.

Actually fully getting Zinc going is no easy task...but reading instructions given...helps. ;)

This is going to take some doing. I'ma hafta work out of 2 Zinc folders. One to get the contols setup using winterblast & yours I merged the 2 folders and to quote Vinny Barberino "I'm So Confused!!!" I'd better start from scratch.

Tell you what...do up one file...with all your buttons mapped...then post it here...I can probably make fairly fast progress on this...then you can tweak stuff.

Ok I'll do it when I go home. I leave work in about 45 mins. It would make no sense to do it here cause all I am doing is testing. My Cabs are at home. I'll send one from my desktop cab since I play it the most then I'll work on my main one downstairs since it is on a slikstik c02. my desktop one is also built using a slikstik solitaire blank. (since I suck at woodworking) I bought my panels from them and put the parts in myself. Thank you so much. You need a red cape :)

I figured you were playing with ZiNc on that quad core system you were compiling MAME on earlier. :D

nah actually that is what I use at work for CD burning etc. the most I'll do on it is play things like Blitz or other simple games since I have to use a keyboard. I built it to be a super replicator actually. it has 5 SATA DVD burners in it. :) it is a dual boot system also it'll do XP 32 & Ultimate Vista 64.

I think thats the high scores config for the game...if you open those in notepad you'll notice right off the bat its not a standard text file...but actually a binary one.

Well those are the right files...but I noticed Player2 is mapped to a gamepad\Joystick...and not a keyboard...I'll hold off on things for now.

That's because player 2 isn't used on that unit at all it is a slikstik solitare :)

Whatever you do I'ma try to mirror it on the cab downstairs (which is 2 player)
