You are likely to have to change some of these...I'd refer to the control panel pic's for the games...then match to your setup as best as possible.

Anyways best of luck on this.

Now to get your WinterBlast configs to work with this setup...you'll need to open up your original winterblast config that you done prior...then find the matching file in the Controls folder...then copy the contents from the original...into the new file...replacing everything.

Now you know I get confused easy, but if this is the case, couldn't you just replace the whole file instead of the contents?

Actually fully getting Zinc going is no easy task...but reading instructions given...helps.

I had a couple of problems with my interpretation of the instructons. Right in the beginning, it says that if you are not using xpadder, then this is not for you. So I stopped right there, and asked a bunch more stupid questions before I got pointed right back to where I left off in the instructions. Before I finally got zinc going, I had three copy's on my computer!

The second problem I had is that when I copied the sound and video plugins over, and renamed them as instructed, Zinc wouldn't recognize them. Since you had mentioned that they were pete's, and (insert other plugin name here), I just downloaded them from the internet.

I assume that this is a file extension problem with my computer.

I think you guys do a great job of helping (teaching), its just little individual quirks like this that make it difficult.

You could...but I like being difficult. ;) Actually it has more to do with the way I have mine done up...they are a bit more humanly readable...and ideally when one copies stuff into mine...it would retain some of that readability...at least thats the hope.

Well actually it was DJ Infinity that corrected me on that...I didn't realize that WinterBlast also supported Keyboard encoders...I might rewrite this again with a few more conditionals so that things are more generic...and not gamepad specific.

Hehe I have you beat. ;)

hmm could be...but in Zinc the extensions are .znc but when used with ePSXe you change them to .dll

At this point I view it more as "better than nothing" rather than doing a good job...maybe things will improve...maybe...

Did you read the PDF?

So changing the values in Renderer_D3D.cfg & Renderer_GL.cfg with in the Zinc Config folder had no effect on standard D3D & OpenGL? OpenGL2 has to be adjusted through ePSXe or the like.

Ok following the pdf file I downloaded epsxe (separate directory) and copied the plugins to it and renamed them. However it doesn't say whether or not to rename them back when I copy them back over to the zinc folder.

Well if you just copied them...and didn't move (cut & paste) then they don't need to be moved back...as long as those files are in the zinc folder as they where originally...things are fine.

If you did cut & paste...then you'll need to cut and paste back...and rename them to how they where originally.

I don't really expext a fix for this, more curiousity than anything else. Plus if somebody else runs into this problem hopefully it will help them.

When you mentioned the .znc extension, it jogged my memory. I copied the file over, and renamed them with the .dll Extension. For some reason, my computer wouldn't recognize the new extensions - by that I mean that the icons for the dlls that were already in that folder were different than the ones I renamed. Also, in the drop down window for the plugins for Espxe, the new plugins didn't show up. It just seems to me that if is the case, that it could cause me more problems in the future. I am running XP pro.
