Hi, I'm new to emulators and gameex in general, but is there any step by step documentation on how to setup gameex with different emulators.

I can't even get MAME32 to work playing asteroids.

Here is my log.txt file:

I can't even get MAME32 to work playing asteroids.

How exactly is it no working, what exactly happens? Do any MAME games work?

Sorry, there is no step by step guide, perhaps someone will write one some day. GameEx is mostly a one man band (me), and I have not had time to document everything completely. I certainly welcome people who want to help out though.

No problem Tom, just thought I'd ask before bugging you guys too much. :)

Basically, I ran the update list option and it did it's thing. I guess GameEx or MAME32 comes with a bunch of games already because I was only expecting one game to be listed but there was a ton. So I went to select Asteroids to play and the screen refreshes a couple time(it's black the entire time though) and I can tell it even resizes, but then it just goes back to GameEx. This happens for every game I try.

Can you go to the start menu, the gameex program group, and select run last game. See if it runs. If it does not its not a GameEx issue but a MAME32 issue. You've probably got bad roms, although with the default options GameEx should have filtered these out when updating the list.

GameEx and MAME32 dont come with any games. Where did you get them from?
