I have a question since I can't seem to get my 64bit compile on. Is it possible to setup Game Ex to use 2 different Mame executables? and have lights etc. I would use official 64bit Mame for CHD games and my compile for the rest. Thanx

The only way I know of to do this is to use the default MAME emulator with one and set up a second emulator with your secondary MAME settings. You will lose some of the features of the built-in MAME (like the new screen saver identifications among others), but it should work fine.

Tom spoke about adding multiple Mame version support not that long ago, but it's hard to say how much on the cards it is.

That would be pretty cool for those that have special controls requiring special builds/settings. For example, I have rotary joysticks that don't work well with vanilla mame. I've heard that they work well with analog mame+, but I haven't had a chance to play with it since I know it hasn't been updated and I don't want to switch everything over to that. Same goes for track ball/mouse/gun games or even steering wheels. That could be a really useful feature although probably not for everyone.

The only question would be how would it be incorporated? Would all MAME lists be combined into a single list (preferable), or would there be multiple lists (sorta like the lists for CPS, NEOGEO, lightgun, etc.)?

I did supposedly but I noticed something weird. My Mame compile (which is supposed to be 64bit) plays blitz slow but the official Vcmame64 on mamedev.org plays it fine. which leads me to think that it is still not compiling correctly. Until someone posts a how to page this is the best thing I can think of. By the way I did get my new Core Duo system and OC'ing to 3.5 plays Blitz nicely. The most I've seen it go to to is like 77%.

What I should have said the lowest that it goes on my setup is 77% with sound :) sorry for the confusion (duh)
