Cyberlink Remote

Hey all,

I just bought a Cyberlink Media Center Remote and its works great on media center but with game ex its doesn't work as well e.g. DVD rewind button doesn't work as well as other buttons. Also i would like to have my home buttons etc. point to game ex rather than media center (coz game ex rocks!)

So i guess what i'm trying to say is there an ehtray application or key mapper for this device/game ex?

Well I dont have one of those remotes. But you could always use AHK to remap your controls. I know Gameex will let you remap some also but not all. I guess we would need to know what the keys are programmed for right now.

Well the biggest problem is, is that its just plug and play. By that i mean there is no software that comes with it. So I don't know how the keys are mapped (which makes it hard to create any scripts) But i'm assuming that its mapped to the very same keys as Media Center, but i have no clue what they are.

Hey all,

Since no one had an answer before i though i would give you an update.

I found this script on a website RemoteControl.txt (i can't remember where or the author of the script!) But it basically knows what my buttons are and i just need the command lines for gameex e.g the command line to return to the homepage within gameex and everything else.

Anyway have a look and see if you can decifer this script!

Another question :-)

Can game ex support FLV video files? I've got a few FLVs and would like them to launch in gameex is there a codec for this or can i change my video media player to media player classic?

On the main GameEx website under "Wrappers & Utils" there is a program called "Virtual key code lookup". You can use it to identify what key is being pressed.
