Sound Problems when Vertical Bezels enabled

When I turn on the use bezels for vertical games, the sound is messed up in those games. I tried it with both Donkey Kong and Centipede.

Any ideas?

Attached is my log where I have the sound problem with the bezel. Also, I noticed that if I enable Arcade VGA, no bezel is displayed at all. Is that by design.

Launch the gameex advanced config goto advanced mame settings and goto MAME CMD options: remove -triplebuffer

Let me know if this fixes the stuttering

Unfortunately it did not help, I still have the sound problems.

Is the game messed up when run without GameEx?

1) Run the game from GameEx

2) Exit GameEx

3) Run the "Run Last Game.bat" file from the start menu

Give that a try and let us know...

I didn't have an entry on my start menu for run last game. However, I did go to my gameex log and paste in the command line arguments of the last game that I ran. When I ran that game from the cmd prompt the sound was fine.

Are you able to add more ram into your box just to see if it solves the problem?

I think I remember someone else having this problem with bezels. I think if you switch to d3d<->ddraw it might fix that.

To eleaborate add -video d3d to the commandline. It is found the the gameex advanced configuration/advanced mame settings/Mame oprtions
