I noticed that when I start Dig Dug, it has the proper LEDs lit as the game initializes (the games self test). After the self test, all of the buttons are turned off. I checked about 5 other games and they lit up properly. The only thing I could think of was the fact that Dig Dug flashes the player 1 start button when a credit is applied. I wonder if there is some conflict there. I just tried centipede and it has the same problem.

Also, is it possible to change the speed of the flashing player start light?

So I think I've fixed it but no time to test it on my machine (very busy today), so can you test Version 2.6 and let me know if it solves that?

Still has the same behavior with 2.61. Also, the player 1 versus player 2 button blink quite differently. The player 1 button blinking is fine, the player 2 start blinking is not very bright and blinks erratic.

Let me know when to try the next version.

Thanks,

-Dan

HK, i have the same problem. I thought it was a bad electrical connection or hardware (ledwiz) problem but when i have my player 1 start & player 2 start configured as always on - player 2 start blinks erratically so much so i disconnected it from the ledwiz.

Cheers,

ian.

Sorry about that my bad, I left code in there that cleared the LED's again. It was very late when I worked on that ;)

Okay try again.

The erratic lighting is not much I can do about AFAIK. I know it looks strange I've seen it before, but its just the way the messages are recieved from Mame. Arzoo was having worse problems than me with his plugin there were massive delays in recieving the messages from Mame. Hopefully we can improve on it in the future.

It happens outside mame though when i'm in gameex. Just thought i'd mention it.

Oh re-read your problem. That definately sounds like a hardware issue. Never heard of that before and I doubt the plugin would cause that.

Was thinking that myself. Just when i read 442much's post (who had a similar problem) i thought i'd mention it.

The new version fixed the problem and it also fixed the blinking problem. Now the One player start and two player start flash in tandem and are properly lit. Excellent!

Thanks!
