Project64 emulator only shows a blank screen

I searched for an answer but could not find it.

New user, new installation of GameEx. Mame works fine but with my Project 64 emulator all I get is a blank screen with the game sound. I mean, everything seems to work right but you just can't see the game. I have been looking through the configuration but so far I haven't been able to find a setting that would fix this.

There is an option in Project 64's video settings that you need to set to "Run in fullscreen"

Id also check the show desktop setting.
