Does it matter if the videos are AVI's or MPEG's?

Does it matter on their sizes (both resolution and filesize)?

my MPEG files are:

MPEG-1

352x240

4.5-5MB a piece

I have been using MPEGS for the intros for some laserdisc games. They range from 25-45 seconds and they have no audio. Whenever I select between the various laserdisc games GameEX will eventually quit responding after a few selections.

Should i make them AVI's or decrease the resolution?

No, it should not matter.

I use the files from EMUMovies for Daphne, which are AVI files.

Are you using the latest GameEx version, there were issue with movies a while back?

I'm using version 4.72. I don't know about before...I'm relatively new (since .68). Its a great program...A godsend really....

** EDIT ** Upgraded to 4.73 and the MPEG playback problem seems fixed!
