Using the setup wizard you can setup 255 emulators

So the question is.... do you have enough HD space?

the thing is that gamex only showes 42 the way it is in the advanced config

You have to edit the ini directly instead of using the manager.

Yes Adultery you can edit the INI but thats not exactly for newbies.

The Gameex advanced config does only go up to 42 however the setup wizard is a diffrent app and is included in the gameex programs group.. It is written by our very own headkaze and will let you configure up to 255 emulators using a GUI.

I truly believe this is the best way to go about it.

Sorry, I didn't know that the Wizard did all that. It's been a loooong time since I set up my GameEx, and unfortunately I tend to use the Advanced Config option. My brother asked me the same thing and I thought that was the only way.

Yeah, that was one of the things I was worried about when I first set up my emulators. Then found that option and was excited. Not that I have set up that many emulators YET! LOL.

It cool no need to be sorry.. It is a fairly recent addition. I use the advanced config personally as the setup wizard came after I was a user of gameex. I just happen to remember helping people edit the INI and when HK updated the setup wizard to support them. So back then you would have had to edit manually. Tho you still have to edit manually to add more emulator groups

Adultery: The Setup Wizard is great and it makes it easy to find where some settings are. HOWEVER, it doesn't have everything listed since it's supposed to be newbie friendly. As a result, you still will need to either use the Advanced Config utility or edit the ini/other files manually. But, that's only for more advanced stuff, so I don't personally consider it a problem.

Just for info Advanced Config supports upto 52, and 5 groups now.

I do realise that when you get into your twilight years it is very easy to get confused, and even finding you way home can be problematic! What you need to do is start a new topic for the subject of age. Do you understand? Please stop slurping your liquidized vegetables when I am talking.
