what graphics card is the one for me

i got a spare £100 (no your not having it lol),,

could i get a decent graphics card that would play call of duty 4 on full graphics and future emulators like ps2 and gamecube,or am i just dreaming,

my spec

p4 3,0 hyperthreading

motherboard can be used for dual core eventually

512 ddr2

1tb hard drives 3x 320gb

geforce 6500 pcie 256mb (bag of pooh)

on 3dmark 05 i couldnt even get 5fps at best

The best bang for the buck video card out right now is the 8800GT...but thats probably going to cost more than what you outlined.

COD4 is likely the heaviest app graphic wise...the others you list will probably do fine on the card you got...as they are more CPU heavy than video.

You can get a 8600GTS for next to nothing...which would give you a nice boost...but COD4 would have to be ran with some options off.

Really you need to do your own research...and find out what best fits you as a whole.

Also look at it this way...if you buy the card...thats a 100 you don't have towards getting married.

Generally if its not something you will be making payments on for months or years....there is no reason to tell the little lady about it.

Just bought another Seagate 1TB 7200.11 and I am about to order a new lappy (Old one is a celeron) and she says "As long as she can use it once in a while". Those are the ones ya need. lol..
