game list not quite right

I just updated to the new version of gameex and when ever i try to update my rom list it gives me every game out there... I need to know how to make it just show my games!

Run the advanced configuration application. Select Advanced MAME settings. The default settings should look like the attached.

Mainly make sure verify roms is turned on.
