I've modified Nologic's wrapper again to work with beta 1.6 of NullDC (wish they'd stop renaming the exe)

Open the zip file and copy Kill_Child.exe and nullDC_Loader.exe to your NullDC install directory

Go back to the zip file and go to the Support\Import directory

The "[Mapping*.ini" files go in your GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS directory

The "[Console] Sega Dreamcast (null6DC).ini" goes in your GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS\[iMPORT-EXPORT] directory

Run NullDC go to Options|PowerVR|Fullscreen and check that 'Enable' is ticked

Go to Options|Select Plugun and set the GDRom plugin to zNullGD

Now click Options|GDRom and choose your DaemonTools virtual drive

Import "[Console] Sega Dreamcast (null6DC)" in advanced config and check your paths

That should be you

New version of mine too ;)

I have made some improvements with ideas from PimpDaddyStu (thanx), this vbscript loader can load Dreamcast image discs with the extensions *.cdi,*.mds,*.nrg,*.gdi (directly from nullDC) and *.ccd,*.cue,*.iso with Daemon Tools installed (even more disc images if you modify the script adding new extensions and if DT could support it), the code is much cleaner and this loader can be used on nullDC_100b1_5 and upper versions without modifying a bit (normaly).

It is really simple to use and have many warning message in case of problem with it (normaly not), but it still can't close the emu by the escape key directly (need to press ALT+F4).

Place the script on your nullDC folder, be sure you have configured it proprely and make it work at least one time with a *.cdi,*.mds,*.nrg or *.gdi file.

If you want to launch *.ccd,*.cue or *.iso (even more), be sure you have:

1) installed Daemon Tools, location might be "C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe" , if it's not the case, modify the path in the script (Right Clic > Modify > path is on 3 location)

2) configured nullDC one time to play with a mounted image disc (Options > Select Plugins > GDRom Plugin : zNullGD > Options > GDRom > \\.\F:\ or any letter which have the virtual drive)

GameEx Config:

Roms Filter: *.ccd;*.cdi;*.cue;*.iso;*.mds;*.nrg;*.gdi

Command line: nullDC_Launcher.vbs "[RomPath]\[RomFile]"

I've modified the script to send Alt+F4 when Escape is pressed, this seems to be a much quicker, cleaner way to exit the emu rather than using the Advanced Emu Config file to close the process

I'm unable to get this to work. Displays a black screen with the taskbar showing. Followed the directions per post. Log file show loader being started. Taskbar shows nulldc working. Any ideas?

I take it you are not using the wrapper? Still no dice using either method.

No Im not using the wrapper... I forgot a VERY important step tho.... *Smacks self* It should work after that.

Ok Brian. I finally figured out the issue. I now am able to get the emu to start from GE. Although I thought using the wrapper would hide the mouse. It doesn't. If I go to maple and select one of the options for port. It breaks the emu inside GE as well as outside GE. SO let me take two steps back and try to configure this outside GE. I didn't have this issue with 1.5. Not sure what changed. I'm using an ipac. What should my choices be when setting up the inputs? Thanks.

The wrapper should hide the mouse cursor...unless you are using some thing like CursorXP...then its anyones guess if it would or not.

The wrapper has always worked for me and hid the cursor... In recent builds Ive just opted to use the CLI... Also since I already use the Nomousy App... Not all my other emus hide the mouse nor do I want to make loaders for all my emus... I find this to be sufficent...

Have you checked this little app out? Its pretty damn good :)

nah I haven't toyed with it.

Yeah I noticed your CLI posts...rather cool stuff. :)

I'm a wrapper\loader writing fool...so I script tons of stuff...that said...if one can avoid using them...they should...as its just one more thing to go possibly wrong.

hi nologic, for hide cursor with cursorxp there is a theme or a configuration ?

Posted

It works but I have to disable cursorxp.

I found how to do with cursorxp, we must create a cursor with all options disable = hide

I gather nologic? But there is a command line for cursorxp?

edit :

FOUND

*.CurXpTheme = autostart theme :):):):):)

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

This is better :

There is an option: hide cursor after idle time

"x" seconds of inactivity

MY "X" = 3

Also there is a HOTKEY for disable CursorXp :) "On the fly"

Do you have player 2 configured also? I can set player 1 keys. If I try and add player 2 controls it breaks the emu. Causing the emu to fail to load a game and lock up.

No CursorXp. The wrapper contained in this thread is the one im using. It should contain the script to move the mouse cursor correct?

Everything works now except for the cursor not hiding. I'll give that app nomousy a try.

Brian,

How do you have this app configured in GE? If I use this app to start with GE it breaks GE and gives me an error.

For fun have you tried it in the launch before no wait... Or in the launch before no wait of the emulator config..

Ive personally had no issues with this... tho I may be using an older version... Ill see If I can reproduce the issue...

I've figured it out. The app needs to be in the GE folder to work. Works like a charm. Thanks for the tip.
