This is related to the AcidBrain vision theme. I've seen it before. Not quite sure what the issue is with it, it must have some custom layouts for emulators.

Changing theme should fix the problem.

Thats a shame, I really like that theme :/

Any ideas for a workaround?

Rename the emulator title from "SNES". If a custom theme layout is the problem, it wont use it.

Worth a try.

Yeah that seems to have fixed it, thanks. I have one more quick question, when I run the same version of GameEx under Windows Vista, it doesn't show the loading screen, any idea why?

What loading screen are you talking about? If GameEx is not registered it just shows the nag screen.

I can see a short duration flash of the nag screen, but then it goes black (I think it has something to do with the program that blocks the windows desktop.

I have another question completely unrelated to this, but with NESTopia I get "unknown error" then "file not found" when I run it from GameEx. If I type in the same command from the command line it works fine with no error.

Please export your emulator config and post here so we can see what going on.

Thanks

I copied Acibrain's Vision onto a default theme using the editor and it fixed all the crashing problems... (it is kinda labour intensive though) and still looks cool. :D
